We are excited to announce that the HARRY/DRACO BIG BANG is returning in 2021.

In 2018 we ran the Harry/Draco Big Bang inspired by the first ever Big Bang in 2005 which had a 50,000 minimum word count and was also based around the Harry/Draco pairing. We had a fabulously successful round with 20 amazing fics illustrated by over 20 talented artists! You can find our 2018 masterlist here.

Although our plan to run this fest every other year got away from us and 2020 went to hell, we are thrilled to bring back the Harry/Draco Big Bang for 2021. The Harry/Draco Big Bang is a great way to celebrate Harry and Draco's ever changing and intense relationship and encouraging the creation of EPIC works of fanfiction (50,000 words minimum) and fabulous art. Who doesn’t love to see Harry and Draco banging? :D

Your mods, gracerene and writcraft are delighted to welcome you back for another year, we’re super excited about this challenge and we hope you are too! Please check out the rules and timeline to get a sense for what’s involved and do consider joining us on 1 January 2021!

We won't be utilising dreamwidth for this fest beyond this initial announcement post, and though we recommend having a tumblr to follow the fest, it's not required. Sign-ups will be done through google forms and all works will be posted to AO3, with any important communications happening via email!

HARRY/DRACO BIG BANG 2021 – RULES & TIMELINE

WELCOME TO THE HARRY/DRACO BIG BANG COMMUNITY.

THIS COMMUNITY HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED SPECIFICALLY TO HOST A TRADITIONAL BIG BANG CENTRED ON THE DRACO/HARRY PAIRING.

The primary purpose of this community is to host the HARRY/DRACO BIG BANG 2018.

Did you know that the first Big Bang fest EVER was for the Harry/Draco pairing back in 2005? It's been more than 10 years since then, and the format has taken off, spreading to almost every other fandom, with a multitude of different lengths, genres, and other requirements. Most recently, the Harry Potter fandom celebrated our favourite character with the harrybang in 2015.

It's been several years since there's been a specific Harry/Draco Big Bang to celebrate Harry and Draco's ever changing and intense relationship, and your mods, Capitu, Grace, & Writ, thought that it was time for that to change. And thus, harrydracobang was born (@harrydracobang on tumblr), with a goal of encouraging and hosting the creation of long EPIC works of fanfiction (50,000 words minimum) and fabulous art.

The Drarry fandom is made up of all sorts of people who enjoy a variety of genres, tropes, and dynamics. We're all here because we adore this complex and explosive pairing, and exploring the many different ways in which a relationship between Harry and Draco can unfold. Connections have been made, friendships have flourished, and it's all because we have something magical in common: we love reading about Harry and Draco banging. :D

The three of us are super excited about this challenge, and we hope all of you are too! Please consider joining us in 2018 on this magical adventure. <3
